Training Overview: The Pyramid Model is a collaborative professional development system that fosters and sustains evidenced-based practices to support the social-emotional development and inclusion of children.
The Colorado Pyramid Model Training is a 50-hour training series that supports early educators to recognize and reduce challenging behaviors in children while increasing positive behaviors. It also reduces stress, burnout, and turnover among existing early childhood educators and staff, keeping childcare facilities open and operating.
The materials are developed so participants will be able to apply strategies and tools in their practice. Presentation will be delivered in a manner that systematically breaks the content into 21 Modules with specific topics and strategies, which provide concrete examples based in a variety of settings (center based and home).
CPMT (delivered by Pyramid Facilitator) meets the state requirements for Child Guidance Strategies (ECE 103).
Early childhood professionals and others working to improve the social emotional health of children birth – 5 years; including administrators, coaches, trainers, teachers, Early Childhood Mental Health consultants and specialists, Early Intervention providers and other health professionals are encouraged to attend.
